Trabzon defeat Bursa 1-0; regain lead in Super Lig title race

Trabzonspor today hosted Bursaspor in a game where they had to win if they wanted to regain their leadership in the Super Lig. The hero today was none other than Burak Yilmaz who also produced his heroics last week against Galatasaray in Istanbul when he scored the only goal of the game.

His goal today came at the bring of halftime in the 44th minute when he recieved a pass from Gustavo Coleman then dribbled his way into the 18 yard box and shot the ball low past the Bursa keeper.

The game produced a couple of more chances for Trabzon with the best one coming towards the end when Coleman sent captain Umut Bulut through on the left hand side and saw his shot deflected past the far post by the keeper.

Bursaspor didn't produce much magic but did hold Trabzon to only one goal away.

The win puts Trabzon back on top by 2 points ahead of Fenerbahce whoa re clipping at their heals in the title race.

Trabzon next play away at Burak Yilmaz's former side Eskisehirspor while Fenerbahce visit lowly Bucaspor.

With five weeks left in the season, the competition continues to heat up as the two sides are virtually in a head to head race with Bursaspor fifteen points behind second placed Fenerbahce. It would take Fenerbahce to lose the rest of their games and Bursa to win all of them for them to reach that position.

Once again there is a very exciting ending to the Turkish Super Lig this year and it will looks like it will be either a smooth or a bumpy ride for the top two sides.
